그러므로 우리가 흔들리지 않는 나라를 받았은즉 은혜를 받자 이로 말미암아 경건함과 두려움으로 하나님을 기쁘시게 섬길지니 우리 하나님은 소멸하는 불이심이라. (히 12:28-29)   Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our "God is a consuming fire.

사람이 장래 일을 알지 못하나니 장래 일을 가르칠 자가 누구이랴 (전 8:7)Since no man knows the future, who can tell him what is to come?  

만일 우리가 죄가 없다고 말하면 스스로 속이고 또 진리가 우리 속에 있지 아니할 것이요만일 우리가 우리 죄를 자백하면 그는 미쁘시고 의로우사 우리 죄를 사하시며 우리를 모든 불의에서 깨끗하게 하실 것이요 (요일 1:8-9)   If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

​나의 힘이시여 내가 주께 찬송하오리니 하나님은 나의 요새이시며 나를 긍휼히 여기시는 하나님이심이니이다 (시 59:11)    O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

주의 말씀의 강령은 진리이오니 주의 의로운 모든 규례들은 영원하리이다. (시 119:160)   All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.

너희 염려를 다 주께 맡기라 이는 그가 너희를 돌보심이라. (벧전 5:7)   Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라 (마 11:28)   "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

우리가 감사함으로 그 앞에 나아가며 시로 그를 향하여 즐거이 부르자 대저 여호와는 크신 하나님이시요 모든 신 위에 크신 왕이시로다 (시 95:2-3)   Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

주 여호와 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이가 이같이 말씀하시되 너희가 돌이켜 조용히 있어야 구원을 얻을 것이요 잠잠하고 신뢰하여야 힘을 얻을 것이거늘 너희가 원하지 아니하고 (사 30:15)   This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매 우리가 그의 영광을 보니 아버지의 독생자의 영광이요 은혜와 진리가 충만하더라 (요 1:14)   The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

우리가 너희와 함께 있을 때에도 너희에게 명하기를 누구든지 일하기 싫어하거든 먹지도 말게하게 하라 하였더니 (살후 3:10)  For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

찬송하리로다 그는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님이시요 자비의 아버지시요 모든 위로의 하나님이시며우리의 모든 환난 중에서 우리를 위로하사 우리로 하여금 하나님께 받는 위로로써 모든 환난 중에 있는 자들을 능히 위로하게 하시는 이시로다 (고후 1:3-4)   Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

여호와는 그의 얼굴을  네게 비추사 은혜 베푸시기를 원하며 ( 민 6:25) the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you

그들은 사람의 영광을 하나님의 영광보다 더 사랑하였더라 (요 12:43)  for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.
