여호와는 은혜로우시며 긍휼이 많으시며 노하기를 더디 하시며 인자하심이 크시도다여호와께서는 모든 것을 선대하시며 그 지으신 모든 것에 긍휼을 베푸시는도다 (시 145:8-9)   The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

내 하나님이여 내 영혼이 내 속에서 낙심이 되므로 내가 요단 땅과 헤르몬과 미살 산에서 주를 기억하나이다. (시 42:6)   my God. My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon--from Mount Mizar.

우리가 그를 힘입어 살며 기동하며 존재하느니라 너희 시인 중 어떤 사람들의 말과 같이 우리가 그의 소생이라 하니 (행 17:28)   'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'

여호와는 자기를 경외하는 자들과 그의 인자하심을 바라는 자들을 기뻐하시는도다. (시 147:11) The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

기도를 계속하고 기도에 감사함으로써 깨어 있으라. (골 4:2)Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이니라 (고후 3:18)     And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

자녀들아 너희 자신을 지켜 우상에게서 멀리하라 (요일 5:21)   Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.

만물이 그에게서 창조되되 하늘과 땅에서 보이는 것들과 보이지 않는 것들과 혹은 왕권들이나 주권들이나 통치자들이나 권세들이나 만물이 다 그로 말미암고 그를 위하여 창조되었고 (골 1:16)   For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

여호와여 그러하여도 나는 주께 의지하고 말하기를 주는 내 하나님이시라 하였나이다나의 앞날이 주의 손에 있사오니 내 원수들과 나를 핍박하는 자들의 손에서 나를 건져 주소서 (시 31:14-15)But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God."My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.  

우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지 하나님을 찬송하리로다 그의 많으신 긍휼대로 예수 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하게 하심으로 말미암아 우리를 거듭나게 하사 산 소망이 있게 하시며썩지 않고 더럽지 않고 쇠하지 아니하는 유업을 잇게 하시나니 곧 너희를 위하여 하늘에 간직하신 것이라(벧전 1:3-4)   Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you,

너희는 세상의 빛이라 산 위에 있는 동네가 숨겨지지 못할 것이요 (마 5:14)You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden 

너는 내게 부르짖으라 내가 네게 응답하겠고 네가 알지 못하는 크고 은밀한 일을 네게 보이리라 (렘 33:3)   'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'  

나 곧 내 영혼은 여호와를 기다리며 나는 주의 말씀을 바라는도다파수꾼이 아침을 기다림보다 내 영혼이 주를 더 기다리나니 참으로 파수꾼이 아침을 기다림보다 더하도다(시 130:5-6)   I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.

 여호와여 주께서 나를 살펴 보셨으므로 나를 아시나이다주께서 내가 앉고 일어섬을 아시고 멀리서도 나의 생각을 밝히 아시오며나의 모든 길과 내가 눕는 것을 살펴 보셨으므로 나의 모든 행위를 익히 아시오니여호와여 내 혀의 말을 알지 못하시는 것이 하나도 없으시니이다 (시 139:1-4)   O LORD, you have searched me and you know me.You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.
