그를 하나님보다 조금 못하게 하시고 영화와 존귀로 관을 씌우셨나이다 (시 8:5)   You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.  

주께서 그 사랑하시는 자를 징계하시고 그가 받아들이시는 아들마다 채찍질하심이라 하였으니 (히 12:6)   because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.

끝으로 형제들아 무엇에든지 참되며 무엇에든지 경건하며 무엇에든지 옳으며 무엇에든지 정결하며 무엇에든지 사랑 받을 만하며 무엇에든지 칭찬 받을 만하며 무슨 덕이 있든지 무슨 기림이 있든지 이것들을 생각하라 (빌 4:8)   Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

하나님이 이르시되 이리로 가까이 오지 말라 네가 선 곳은 거룩한 땅이니 네 발에서 신을 벗으라 (출 3:5)   "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground."

나는 주의 힘을 노래하며 아침에 주의 인자하심을 높이 부르오리니 주는 나의 요새이시며 나의 환난 날에 피난처심이니이다나의 힘이시여 내가 주께 찬송하오리니 하나님은 나의 요새이시며 나를 긍휼히 여기시는 하나님이심이니이다 (시 59:16-17)     But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

내가 그리스도와 그 부활의 권능과 그 고난에 참여함을 알고자 하여 그의 죽으심을 본받아 (빌 3:10)   I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

나의 발로 암사슴 발 같게 하시며 나를 나의 높은 곳에 세우시며 (삼하 24:34)   He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.

곧 창세 전에 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하사 우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고 (엡 1:4)   For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love

내가 너와 함께 있어 네가 어디로 가든지 너를 지키며 너를 이끌어 이 땅으로 돌아오게 할지라 내가 네게 허락한 것을 다 이루기까지 너를 떠나지 아니하리라 하신지라. (창 28:15)   I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."  

피곤한 자에게는 능력을 주시며 무능한 자에게는 힘을 더하시나니 (사 40:29)   He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

나는 여호와로 말미암아 즐거워하며 나의 구원의 하나님으로 말미암아 기뻐하리로다 (합 3:18)   yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior

내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라 이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라. (갈 2:20)   I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라나는 마음이 온유하고 겸손하니 나의 멍에를 메고 내게 배우라 그리하면 너희 마음이 쉼을 얻으리니 이는 내 멍에는 쉽고 내 짐은 가벼움이라 하시니라. (마 11:28-30)   "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

내 형제들아 너희가 여러 가지 시험을 당하거든 온전히 기쁘게 여기라이는 너희 믿음의 시련이 인내를 만들어 내는 줄 너희가 앎이라(약 1:2-3)   Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
