사랑은 오래 참고 사랑은 온유하며 시기하지 아니하며 사랑은 자랑하지 아니하며 교만하지 아니하며 (고전 13:4)    Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

주 안에서 항상 기뻐하라 내가 다시 말하노니 기뻐하라너희 관용을 모든 사람에게 알게 하라 주께서 가까우시니라       Rejoice in the Lord  always. I will say it  again Rejoice!   Let your gentleness[be evidentto all The Lord is near.

여호와께서 이르시되 내가 친히 가리라 내가 너를 쉬게 하리라 (출 33:14)   The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”  

그 영광의 힘을 따라 모든 능력으로 능하게 하시며 기쁨으로 모든 견딤과 오래 참음에 이르게 하시고 (골 1:11)   being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy

나는 포도나무요 너희는 가지라 그가 내 안에, 내가 그 안에 거하면 사람이 열매를 많이 맺나니 나를 떠나서는 너희가 아무 것도 할 수 없음이라 (요 15:5)    I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abided in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing

하나님께 감사하리로다 너희가 본래 죄의 종이더니 너희에게 전하여 준 바 교훈의 본을 마음으로 순종하여죄로부터 해방되어 의에게 종이 되었느니라 (롬 6:18)   Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

사람이 만일 온 천하를 얻고도 제 목숨을 잃으면 무엇이 유익하리요 사람이 무엇을 주고 제 목숨과 바꾸겠느냐 (마 16:26)   For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

우리가 감사함으로 그 앞에 나아가며 시를 지어 즐거이 그를 노래하자 (시 95:2)But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

백성들아 시시로 그를 의지하고 그의 앞에 마음을 토하라 하나님은 우리의 피난처시로다 (시 62:8)   Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God  is a refuge for us. Selah.

여호와 그가 네 앞서 행하시며 너와 함께하사 너를 떠나지 아니하시며 버리지 아니하시리니 너는 두려워 말라 놀라지 말라 (신 31:8)   8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

내가 여호와께 청하였던 한 가지 일 곧 그것을 구하리니 곧 나로 내 생전에 여호와의 집에 거하여 여호와의 아름다움을 앙망하며 그 전에서 사모하게 하실 것이라 (시편 27:4 )   One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

우리가 주목하는 것은 보이는 것이 아니요 보이지 않는 것이니 보이는 것은 잠깐이요 보이지 않는 것은 영원함이라 (고후 4:16)   So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

곧 창세 전에 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하사 우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고  그 기쁘신 뜻대로 우리를 예정하사 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 자기의 아들들이 되게 하셨으니  이는 그가 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리에게 거저 주시는 바 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬송하게 하려는 것이라 (엡 1:4-6)   According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love

그러므로 너희가 그리스도 예수를 주로 받았으니 그 안에서 행하되그 안에 뿌리를 박으며 세움을 받아 교훈을 받은 대로 믿음에 굳게 서서 감사함을 넘치게 하라 (골 2:6-7)  As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
