하나님이 미리 아신 자들로 또한 그 아들의 형상을 본받게 하기 위하여 미리 정하셨으니 이는 그로 많은 형제 중에서 맏아들이 되게 하려 하심이니라 (롬 8:29)   For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

네 생명을 파멸에서 속량하시고 인자와 긍휼로 관을 씌우시며좋은 것으로 네 소원을 만족하게 하사 네 청춘을 독수리 같이 새롭게 하시는도다 (시 103:4-5)   who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

사랑하는 자들아 우리가 지금은 하나님의 자녀라 장래에 어떻게 될 것은 아직 나타나지 아니하였으나 그가 나타내심이 되면 우리가 그와 같을 줄을 아는 것은 그의 계신 그대로 볼 것을 인함이니 (요일 3:2)   Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

오라 우리가 여호와께 노래하며 우리의 구원의 반석을 향하여 즐거이 외치자우리가 감사함으로 그 앞에 나아가며 시를 지어 즐거이 그를 노래하자여호와는 크신 하나님이시요 모든 신들보다 크신 왕이시기 때문이로다.(시 95:1-3)   Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
